Pittston Housing Authority Community Rooms Re-Open after Covid-19 Pandemic

For approximately two years during the Covid 19 Pandemic, the Pittston Housing Authority Community Rooms were shut down to residents for their safety and well-being. Over the last several months, the Housing Authority team invested some funding into updating these spaces and have made them even better than they were pre-pandemic.

Most recently, the TV Room in Infantino Towers was upgraded with new, more comfortable furniture, cable tv and additional spaces for guests to recreate. All Pittston Housing Authority property residents are welcome to use this space, even if they don’t reside in Infantino Towers.

Also, two additional community rooms at the Riverview and Winter Steet Properties have re-opened. These spaces can be used for gatherings such as family birthday celebrations, retirement receptions, or graduation parties. To book a private event in a community room, residents must complete and sign the Community Room Policy (Button to Download Below) and pay a $50 refundable deposit which will be returned as long as the room keys are returned, and all community room rules were successfully followed. Residents must schedule private use of community rooms in advance with the Housing Authority Office.

Overall, these spaces provide additional options for residents to come together, relax, and step out of their homes for some added entertainment.
